Creative Writing Summer Programs?

Hey, everyone! I'm looking to see if anyone knows of any really good summer programs for creative writing. I attended the OxBridge program this past summer and I'm looking for another one to go to this summer. I haven't heard of any programs that specifically focus on writing and/or are acclaimed for it, but truth be told, I haven't really looked too rigorously. Can any of you help out? Thanks!

Iowa Young Writers' Workshop at the University of Iowa - one of the best summer programs I've ever attended, simply because the teachers, students, and experiences there are so damn amazing and enlightening. You can "major" in Creative Writing, Fiction, or Poetry.

This essentially is the precollege version of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, one of the most prestigious graduate programs in the States for creative writing. Alumni include Michael Cunningham, Raymond Carver, Jane Smiley and John Gardner. Teachers/lecturers in the past have included Kurt Vonnegut and John Cheever.

All teachers in the precollege program are graduates of the actual Writers' Workshop, so it's pretty amazing. A definite recommendation.

How hard is it to get in?

My D attended the Young Writers' Conference at Sewanee University of the South last summer and she loved it. Other good summer writing programs are at Kenyon College, Denison University and Interlochen Summer Arts Camp.
Good Luck.

There's also one at Walnut Hill in Natick, MA.

Columbia has an excellent creative writing summer program for high school students. Duke has a short one.

I know that carleton college has something.

Nj governor school has creative writing..really selective though
