Does anyone know if Tulane gives credit for completed AP courses and/or courses taken thru an accredited university offered by my daughter’s High School. She has been accepted into Tulane honors college and we are trying to determine how many credits she will get for these classes.
She has taken the following AP classes:
World History - 3
US History - 5
Stat. - 3
Physics - 3
English Lang. & Comp.- 5
Taking this year:
English Lit.
Psychology
Cal. AB
Govt. & Politics
Bio.
She has also taken University Spanish 1 & 2 thru SUNY Albany
and intro to Business thru St. Thomas Aquinas College.
Tulane gives credit based on how they did on the test. I don’t believe she will get credit for the courses taken at SUNY and STAC, but she will be able to start in a higher level Spanish class, should she choose to continue to take Spanish and assuming she has the capability expected for having completed those courses.
So she should have 7 credits so far for the APUSH and the AP English. Tulane doesn’t accept World History at all and the 3 wouldn’t have counted anyway, as it doesn’t for Stats or Physics. Those require a 4 or 5 to get credit.
