Hi,

I'm a senior majoring in architecture, and to keep my options open, and since I have had the opportunity to fit in a lot of extra unrelated coursework throughout my undergraduate career, I've taken several courses in math, engineering, and foreign language.

As a result, it looks like I'm going to graduate with about 50 extra credit hours beyond the required amount for my degree, with a fairly robust and respectable GPA.

My dilemma is this:

In my major I've earned almost exclusively A and A- grades, but in my extra coursework I've earned some B's and a couple of B-'s (nothing so far lower than a B-). I got through Calc 2 and 3 freshman year, and this summer I decided to take Differential Equations but since the course isn't required for my major, I've been away from formalized math classes for a couple of years, and anything lower than an A would adversely affect my GPA, I decided to take the class Credit-No Credit.

I'm near the end of the class now, and there is a possibility I might not receive credit for the course; I've had a pretty difficult time getting back into math mode.

Furthermore, I am interested in pursuing both architecture and engineering course work in graduate school- part of the reason I took the math classes as an undergraduate was to be exposed to the math, so that if I had to take them again in graduate school I would better understand the material.

Would a No Credit mark on my transcript severely detract from my admissions applications to competitive schools? I'm worried I may have shot myself in the foot here by accident- I took the Diff Eq class because I thought it would be interesting, and in the end it ended up being a little bit more trouble than I was expecting.

I might add that at my school architecture students are only expected to complete math through Calc 1.

Any insight would be helpful!

Thanks
