This is probably a stupid question, but I took some classes at my local SUNY college during my senior (this) year. Instead of taking AP Calc, I took Calc 1 & 2 at the university. Will that override my placement score?
I remember NOTHING from pre-calc and algebra, as in I couldn't help my friend with any of her pre-calc assignments, but know what I need to for calc (I got an A in both classes).
Probably a redundant question but I don't want to try to retake this thing ten times.. not to mention that it can't place you in Calc 3. I'm just afraid that my adviser is going to be awful and try to stick me in 1050.
Thanks in advance.

yes if you have any college credit and Clemson decides they are equivalent to Calc 1 & 2, they’ll put you in Calc 3. If it’s a SUNY college, then I’m guessing it’s a pretty reputable institution so I don’t see any reason why the classes wouldn’t transfer (worst case scenario, you get put in Calc 2).

Talk to your advisor but I think you have to get your transcript sent to Clemson and they’ll evaluate it for any courses that transfer.

Thanks for your help … I really hope I don’t get put in calc II again, I have no desire to go through that class again haha!
You seem pretty knowledgeable about Clemson, so here’s a stupid question:
My approved ap classes from my HS transfer into my SUNY transcript as part of the dual enrollment program. However, the ap class grades won’t be done until late June, and my orientation is earl July. Should I send the transcript as it is now to make sure they get it then send the second/complete one later?

Just send it when it’s completed. When you register for classes, they’ll tell you to “assume credit” and if necessary they can make adjustments later. It’s easier to drop down a level than move up.
