I was at a road right next to a park at 9:25 practicing driving with my mom, and an officer gave both of us tickets for being in the park after 9. We didn't even know that a road next to the park was considered being part of a park, and he told us that the judge would probably dismiss our cases because we didn't really do anything wrong.

The judge today gave us 10$ fines each. Would it affect my chances of transferring like at all?

Were you given a traffic citation or a misdemeanor citation? If its a traffic citation then no its not a criminal record, if its a misdemeanor then yes its a criminal record, but really should not affect you in transferring especially since there are tons of students who get DUI’s and minor in possession of alcohol misdemeanors and transfer.

Chances are it was a traffic citation though. Easiest way to tell, were you asked if you wanted a lawyer? If not it was a traffic ticket.

Thats not considered a criminal record…
