I am wondering if anyone has experience with the Criminology program, and how did you feel about it. I have been reading both UF's and FSU curriculum and internship possibilities and I am leaning more towards FSU. Anyone has any experiences or something to share about it?

Thank you!

I am not involved in the Criminology program, but I keep hearing good things about it. I know they’ve recently started a Computer Criminology program as well.

FWIW, here are the schools’ USNews rankings in Criminology:

FSU: #7 Criminology
University of Florida: #12 Criminology

FSU was ranked #1 in criminology a year or so ago as well. Great program at FSU.

Florida State is best for this.

Especially now that Urban Meyer has moved on, practical application & study has diminished at UF.

(Sorry, too easy not to pass up.) ;)

I’ve had children in both programs. Both were very happy with their decisions, received great educations and went on to law school. I don’t think you can go wrong either way, and you should go wherever you feel the most comfortable.

I’m a crim major and FSU is the best option for criminology. Many more opportunities here and the faculty is excellent and well known in the crim community. UF is an awesome school, but I ended up transferring to FSU because it is whet I needed to be.

Ohio State then? Since Urbie has moved up there tOSU is now the center of the academic universe. :D

So glad we gave him a departing gift. ;)
