Critical Reading on SAT

I have been wondering if reading speed has anything to do with performance. So if you can, please post your reading speed(roughly) along with the score on the critical reading section. Also, please post how early you finish the each section.

reading speed ( pathetically slow)
610 (4months ago in old) expecting at least 650++ this time(june)
if i'm lucky, i get 2-3 minutes left.

I read at a moderately slow speed, probably a double passage in 2-3 minutes. I end up with 5-10 minutes left and I got a 710 cr on my last SAT.

Used to be extremely slow at the CR part (even omitting some because of time), but after prepping and taking the AP English test, I was flying on the entire SAT, including the CR section. Finished all the sections, except the essay and last three with at least 5 minutes left.

I think that I'm pretty fast - usually I am able to finish the passages/questions in about 1/3 to 1/2 the time provided, and use the remaining time to check my answers and perhaps to debate with myself about some iffy choices. I haven't received my CR score for the new SAT yet (took it in june, and think that I got an 800), but my middle school verbal score was 780.

I think that reading speed is probably very important for CR scores.

Reading at a good pace is important, and you should prolly see the different types of questions that they ask.
