SAT Critical Reading problem

Hi, i'm a junior this year and currently studying for the SATs for more then 3 months. I took prep class for 1 1/2 month and still, my SAT scores are around the same. I don't know why my CR won't improve. First it was 300, then 350, then 430, the best was 480. I took the real SAT in march and got a 460. I'm stuck in the 400 range. The problem I have is that I run out of time for the second passage reading in the critical reading section and I end up guessing for the other questions... My sentence completion is fine, I get like 8/10 correct or 7/10 correct. The short passage readings are much easier for me, I get all of them right. Once it gets to the second passage I run out of time and I lose it... My math is 600 and my writing is 470, but I understand the writing section much more. I believe that CR is more important in most colleges, so what can I do to improve?

try to read faster? read more books, reread text from test in order to improve your reading speed?

See if you can read just part of the text:

just a paragraph and then answer the questions for that paragraph , so at least you will get some right

or read the first and the last sentence of each paragraph so you will know the gist of the text?

i’ve heard of that method which is outline reading but, the problem with that is that you may not get the author’s tone and such. I read this method from barrons, and i will consider it. I’m starting to read more and improve my speed. from prep, i learned some parts you can skim through.
