I've taken the SAT twice. The first time in October, I got a 530 on the verbal, and the second time in December, I got a 550. I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on raising my score to a 600. I don't understand why I'm doing so poorly when I'm taking AP Language and Composition in school. I've always done well in English and I'm in the top 10% of my class. A 550 won't cut it. Also, when should I take the SAT again?

Get a review book and follow the directions. If that doesn't work, keep experimenting until you find something that does work. Either way, you gotta practice, so buy the CB blue book.

What type of questions are you missing? Vocab or passage-based reading? (or both) I know my weak point is passage-based reading (according to my PSAT... I haven't gotten back any SAT scores yet.)

Either way, the thing I've heard the most to help improve your CR score is to read... lots.

Have you tried Grammatix. It helps alot in CR.

I'm missing mostly the passage-based questions. I haven't tried Grammatix. What is it exactly?
