It is a standard courseload, if it's 15-16 units... Just be aware that the lower division science and math classes are more intense/competitive than high school.

Best of luck to you.

I would say that this is a bit more work than standard, because you're taking Col Writing R4B. That and Chem will take up most of your time. I guess it's good that the math you're taking is Math1A, which shouldn't be too time consuming (and for the most part, not too difficult). Two heavy work classes, one medium, and a breadth... gonna be a fair amount of work.. but definitely doable.

Col Writing R4B is that difficult?

i'd say its a bit more than average, but definitely not too much, and nothing you should be worried about. if you're used to working hard you should have no problem.

Yea it's not super difficult. It just requires more work than the usual RC classes. Nothing you shouldn't be able to handle without hard work.

how much free time do you guys think i will have?

i was planning to join a boxing gym in berkeley and learn the sport (pretty excited about that actually cuz i've been wanting to for a long time and there are no boxing gyms around where i live). it will be disappointing if i can't spend much time at the gym because of classes and studying.

but of course, academics will be my priority and i want to get solid A's in all of them...

no courseload can possibly take up all your time...you'll always have free time to do a lot of stuff depending on how you manage your time
