What's differences between CruzID Gold and CruzID Blue ????

Currently the CruzID Gold isn’t used that often, only if you want to use printing services. It’s used for: "Currently eCommons, (the learning management system), Connexxus (the travel system), and printing at the library use the CruzID Gold password. "

CruzID Blue is what you normally use for most of your logins. That includes: “The CruzID Blue password is used to access CruzMail, SlugMail, CruzNet, WebCT, and ResNet, among others.”

I’ve only used slugmail, that’s all you need right?

Well your slugmail login is the same thing as your CruzID Blue, so technically that’s all you need as in login information. The main things you use that login for is for your email (slugmail), using university internet (cruznet for wireless/resnet for ethernet), and then Webct is a website which some courses use to post handouts/syllabus/exam scores.

So i can’t activate mine it keeps saying…
"CruzID Manager could not process your request

This account is not currently claimable via the AIS account claim process"

Activate which one? The only issue I’ve heard is that people can’t activate their email via CruzMail, so they have to use UCSC’s Slugmail service.
