crying over my messed up common app essay, am I going to be okay?

;_;

I'm having a nightmare... my counselor told me I could change my essay on the common app for each school. So I submitted it to one and now of course I can't change it for any other one! I didn't think it got locked like that.

I'm printing out the common app forms for my second EA school and will hand write the information. Is this okay???!

I'm freaking outtt! someone comfort me please!

after you submit one app you should be able to make alternate versions for other schools. Check on the common app FAQ... i don't think you can change it for the school you already submitted to but maybe you can try calling the admission office and explaining your situation?

First, breathe. Then search these forums and read the instructions on the Common App on how to make alternate versions. It's all in there, and yes, you can change your essay for each schools.

yeah I thought I could alter my essay...because I have one sentence that is specific to each college.

but I went back and read that it doesn't let you change anything else as soon as you submit to one school.

will mailing in the hand written forms be okay?

sorry for freaking out. i'm stressed haha.

okay I'll look for an answer....

Here's a thread that gives detailed steps on how to create alt versions:

Yeah, this SCEA deadline is getting me very stressed as well. I guess we just have to relax a bit, although I'm finding that hard at the moment.

collegeapp09, I want to give you a huge hug and kiss right now. I don't even care if you're a girl too.

you saved my life! :)
hahah... seriously though. I'm much more relaxed now that I have this figured out.
