I'm currently contemplating switching my major over to CS from Management Information Systems. The only reason I chose MIS originally was because it was in the business school and I had originally wanted to major in economics. However, I changed from Economics to MIS in the my third semester, but I kind of want to change again.

My questions are is it really that much of a difference between a MIS and CS degree with jobs involving Databases? I really enjoy databases and plan to do something in that field, and I really want to minor in accounting as well. So I thought I might be able to tie those two together and have good success at finding a job. Would it really be necessary now at this point to swap over, or should I just stick with what I'm doing and minor in Accounting and see where that takes me?
