CSFU V.S. UCR for Marketing

First off, I know I'm not the brightest student, I could have tried harder and achieved much more, but sadly, I slacked. I got a 1800 on SAT Is, 700 on Math IIC, 770 on Chinese, 3.1 unweighted (3.4 weighted), and a ton of extra curriculars, but I got rejected from EVERYWHERE except.. these two schools.. so I need everyone's opinions please..

Cal State Fullerton or UC Riverside for Marketing?

I've asked the question many times to fellow peers, but no one really knows.

Both schools were ranked, UCR is a UC (tier higher than CSUs) but has class sizes and professors that don't care.. I really dont know where to choose.. where will more companies go to to hire?

BTW, I'm hoping of going to one of these schools for the first two years, then transferring, but transferring from a cal state to lets say.. UCLA, is REALLY complicated right? well, IF I DONT succeed my first two years and get straight As, which school is better for a undergraduate business degree in marketing..

THANK YOU ALL

Only pick csuf for accounting, otherwise they don't really have any advantage(csuf does have a larger alumni base, but in respect to marketing, i dont know how much that will help). I was in the same boat but with csuf vs a wider variety of UC's. I have chosen UCR (at least i think, i still have a month to change my mind) I know plenty of people that have transfered to UCLA and USC from UCR with at least a 3.6

thanks alot bro.. but yeah.. for now both are "Pre-Business".. one more question.. do you think marketing is better.. or management?

neither, but we would need to know some of your goals before we can really determine

hmm alright thanks.. only problem now is choosing a right person to dorm with hah..

UPDATE

UC Irvine for Economics.. better than business program at UCR? alot of people say yes hands down.. I have to make a decision whether to write my appeal.. =\ please help!!

with the number of applications they got this year for economics and business economics, i don't think your odds are that great, but there is no harm in trying. If you feel UCI is better, go for it.

i would go for ucr if you want to transfer to another uc. csu to uc gets kinda complicated but my number one rec is to go to a cc and then transfer. you will have your best shot there.
