CSS financial aid mistake?

I submitted my css profile a bit ago. I just realized for student income, I placed 0 but in 2017, I made around $800. I was wondering what should I do?

On my common app, I stated how I worked as well. did I ruin my chances in getting in college or is only my financial package affected? also my parents told me how I’m not required to file a tax return since I didn’t make much.

please help thanks!

I doubt $800 will affect your financial aid package.

@twicemama I’m just worried since I wrote on my app that I worked but the income I typed in was 0. Should I notify them or does it not matter since its only 800

Yes, let them know.

If the $800 was from self employment income (babysitting, yard work, etc), then you might have to file a tax return.

For now, make sure that your financial aid application reflects what you earned in 2017.

The CSS profile can be printed out and corrected I believe.

Babysitting and yard work are household employee income not subject to SE tax.
