<p>Why Do I need to fill out the CSS form for Northeastern? I am hoping for a merit scholarship, if I do not fill out the CSS form does this mean I cannot get a merit scholarship? Thanks!</p>

<p>My nephew when to Northwestern he had to fill out the CSS Profile AND the FAFSA in order to be qualified/considered for some aid. You might as well fill out the form anyway – if you don’t qualify for needbased aid with it but you can get a merit-based scholarship then it’s just a way to get your information into the system so they can process your award prior to your arrival on campus!!!</p>

<p>If you are trying to get the half tuition scholarship, that is renewable for 4 years, then you will need to apply for financial aid, which means filling out the CSS profile. You will not need to apply for financial aid for the other scholarships. You choose.</p>
