I recently decided to add a new college to my list; however, this college is not appearing under the PROFILE recipients on my non-custodial parents list (it is, however, appearing on my, or my custodial parent's, PROFILE recipient list). My non-custodial parents PROFILE recipient list still shows all the colleges I previously chose when I first created my account.

Does anybody know why the college that I recently added isn't showing up on my non-custodial parent's PROFILE recipient list?

Maybe that college does NOT require the non-custodial parent Profile. Some Profile schools do not require the NCP form. Check the college website to see.

The college does (Harvard).

Anybody? This is really important.

I know nothing about the NCP form…but does the NCP have to submit this form? If so, maybe the NCP either did so within the past week, or hasn’t done so yet. Did the NCP SAY he/she submitted the NCP form to Harvard? My guess is it doesn’t just magically appear there without him/her submitting it to Harvard. Didn’t the NCP have to list the previous schools for submission.

Call your NCP to see if this has been submitted to Harvard.

No, my NCP hasn’t submitted the PROFILE, and neither has my custodial parent. For some reason, Harvard, or any other college I add as a mater-of-fact, doesn’t show up on this list. I added more colleges to test if this was only the case for Harvard, but none of the colleges I tested showed up on the non-custodial PROFILE recipient list. These colleges did, however, show up on the custodial PROFILE recipient list.

On my NCP’s account, where it shows all the colleges that are non-custodial PROFILE recipients, it says this: “If your son or daughter adds a college or program as a PROFILE recipient which requires the non-custodial PROFILE, the College Board will automatically share your information with the new college or program. This page, and your Acknowledgment once you submit this application, will be updated with the new college or program.” However, newly added colleges aren’t showing up on the non-custodial PROFILE recipient list.

Also, my NCP doesn’t list the colleges himself. They were already there when he made the account. I’m assuming it takes this information from the custodial profile, where I add the colleges that I want to send the PROFILE to.

Call the College Board and ask them.

I’ll guess that since NO NONE has submitted a Profile for you, the system isn’t ready to do updates to add schools. But I am totally guessing.

CALL THE COLLEGE BOARD.

I had the same question, and therefore I called the Colleg Board.

They told me that only the universities appear on the noncustodial parent, which you have chose while registering for the CSS form. Once you submit the CSS form they should also appear on the noncustodial form. However, you also can submit the noncustodial form first and it will be sent to every universitiy you listed on your CSS form, once that is submitted, too.
So, don’t worry, just submit both forms.
