Urgent question about CSS and Noncustodial Parent Profile

Hello,

My CSS and NCP have been complete for months. I have already submitted the CSS to every college that has requested it. However, I just got an email from a college saying that they did not receive the NCP.

I had assumed that the NCP, once complete and added to my CSS, would be automatically submitted to every college I submitted the CSS to. If that is not the case, it is very worrying because it means I will have to sort out NCP submissions as well.

What is going on here? If I can only submit via the NCP account, I’ll have to locate my noncustodial parent again because I don’t have the password to his NCP form.

Please help.

Right, only the non-custodial parent should be involved with completing and submitting the NCP form. You need to contact your non-custodial parent and verify that the form has been completed and submitted.

Will I have to direct him to manually submit it to each of the colleges on my list?

I received the email that he had “submitted” the NCP months ago, and on my CSS profile it says the NCP has been submitted. And yet my colleges aren’t getting it? This is really confusing me.

Is it just one college or all colleges that you applied to that haven’t received it?

I would call CSS, there may be a snafu.

If there are looming college FinAid deadlines, contact those colleges, explain the same way you did here, & tell them you have contacted CSS to get it resolved.
