I filled out my CSS Profile in November for a school that I applied to early and already sent it out to a few more (including Williams because I swear the website said the deadline was Jan 1st before...). I did all of that using estimates and I know that I will have to update those schools individually. Now I want to update my Profile and send it off the rest of my schools but all the questions still tell me to estimate using 2012 taxes when I want to use 2013 taxes. Is this normal and should I just use 2013 anyways or is there a way to change that? This is probably a really stupid question but I just want to be sure I'm doing things right. Thanks!

I have the same exact question! Already submitted Profile in early January with estimates for schools with 1/15 deadlines. Now I want to add two more schools but e-filed 2013 taxes today so how do we change Profile for added schools to ‘actual’ instead of estimates? I am college educated but am finding the financial aid process very difficult to navigate.

Nice to know I’m not alone! Does anyone have advice?

No one? Did anyone just use their 2013 taxes instead?

Also is there a way to update the NCP Profile? Thanks.

You need to contact the colleges regarding updating the CSS Profile. SubmittedProfiles cannot be updated online.

That is correct, one can not update the CSS Profile if already submitted. I was told by 1 School that they will update the CSS info once they Get the FAFSA with Actual 2013 Tax numbers. Other way is the IDOC if the School used IDOC system, Few Schools do use IDOC with CSS Profiles.

Thanks, but I wasn’t talking about updating for schools I already sent it to. I meant for new schools that I want to send them to. I just used my 2013 taxes, and my NCP will stay 2012 taxes.
