CSS Profile - NCP

I am the non-custodial parent for my daughter who is in the process of applying to colleges this year.

I am ready to fill out a NCP CSS Profile but am stuck at account creation. I do not have a CollegeBoard account. I called the customer support line at CSS Profile and they started walking me through the account reset process for my daughter, which is not something I wanted. I attempted to explain to them what I’m trying to do but they weren’t helpful.

So - I’m the NCP and don’t have an account and can’t seem to create one. I don’t want to login under my daughter’s account. I do want to create a CSS Profile so that she can attach it if she needs to do so.

Having perused these forums, I have been led to believe that I will get a link at some point in the event that any of my daughter’s schools require a NCP CSS profile. Is this true?

Thoughts/Comments/Suggestions?

When your DD filled in the custodial parent information, she will have to enter your email address
You will receive an email, click the link and create an account for yourself. (it shows up as create a student account)
enter your daughter’s information, but use your own login name and email address.
make sure your daughter’s information is identical to the one she entered for the custodial parent profile.
the colleges that your daughter chose will automatically shows up
when you finish, you will be charged a flat fee of $25 (unlike the custodial parent profile, which would be $16 per college)
