I didn't really want to make this thread because I'm sure I'm just paranoid, but I logged into my Financial Aid tracker today and got this:

Missing/Incomplete Documents
Description Status
CSS PROFILE: EARLY DECISION APPLICANTS: The deadline for completing this form is November 14, 2008. You must complete this form on-line. The address for the CSS PROFILE is: http:CSS/Profile - student financial aid application. Our school code is 2116. Not Received

I submitted my CSS profile online before Nov 14, weird. Anyone else getting this?

"Student's 2007 income tax return: Students who did not file a 2007 tax return need not worry about this requirement. "

??? if they received my parents previous year 1040, do I have to send anything else? because I don't have my own tax return forms & it says student- as in referring to me?

I didn't have a problem. It said that everything was complete and that I had applied for aid. Hmm I agree with eurydice, give them a call just to be sure.

Ah, yes. I forgot about checking my CSS Profile Status on Collegeboard's website. Mine says the same thing, so hopefully Columbia's tracker will update within the next two days. Thanks!

Yeah, mine is doing the same thing. (Checked yesterday, Dec. 2nd. Checked today, Dec. 3rd...) However, I just called collegeboard and they told me that my profile was sent the 14th of November (I had submitted on the 13th) so basically, just disregard the date sent/date scheduled to be sent (the woman said something about it being sent electronically and by paper) although now what's worrying me is Columbia is saying they still don't have it. So regardless of when collegeboard sent it, if Columbia didn't receive it... well, that blows.

In any case, it's not our fault (though I question if that matters)---it's either collegeboard or Columbia. Did anyone call the finaid office?

Okay, I just called the financial aid office---voici le probleme:

Columbia is having issues with the CSS profile. Apparently, if you sent it on certain days (e.g. Nov. 13th is one day they're running into problems with) they are currently working things out with the profile.

I was told to call again tomorrow. Crossing my fingers---
