Does anyone know when the Cal State schools, specifically Sac State, SDSU and Cal Poly send out notifications of admittance or acceptance? I know some people have heard already but we haven’t. Any insight as to when we might or what this means would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!,
Cal Poly Pomona or SLO? Pomona are rolling through April. SLO looks like the almost done with all decisions since rejections went out today for Freshman. Waitlisted applicants can hear anytime between now and May 15.
SDSU is about 2 weeks in comparison to last year due to issue with the new Cal State Apply application so I would say they should be out by end of March??
Oh, thank you! I’ll have her check. What happened with Cal State Applying? @Gumbymom
I mean Cal State Apply… darn autocorrect. @Gumbymom
There was issues with a-g courses listed on the application that SDSU and CSULB did not recognize or needed further clarification or had to be redone and submitted.
SAT scores were not be uploaded properly.
Just heard that some of the Transfer supplementals for Cal Poly SLO disappeared and transfer applicants had to redo and submit. Also for SLO, due to confusing instructions, many applicants failed to put middle school math and languages grades into the 9th grade category for credit.
I think SDSU is being very careful in reviewing the applications due to these problems. I know that a few students have posted that they have been denied for some of the CSU’s due to not meeting the a-g course requirements although their applications are actually complete.
Wow, really? Is that something that we need to be concerned about? I honestly can’t remember what she put down on her application in regards to her middle school grades. I remember talking to someone for one application, no idea which one… can’t remember now, but they said not to put 8th grade classes, that if students were in Spanish 2 in 9th grade, they would know classes were taken in 8th grade. Sounded funny to me, but that’s what she did. I hope it all works out!
Middle school grades were only a concern for SLO since they use 9-11th grades for the GPA calculation and applicants get extra rigor points for extra years of Language and Math. Since so many applicants did not enter them correctly on the application, they did not penalize these applicants.
