@Transferchic16 Too late? If they got there before Monday, you’re good still. They give out decisions about three weeks after they get your transcripts, so the earlier you send them, the faster you get a decision. I think they might still be processing them.
I haven’t heard from SFSU yet even though I applied for a non-impacted major. They told me decision would be mailed out and that could be as late as the end of march
@5umtim3s Jesus. They’re still doing mailed letters? I thought that went out of style in the mid-2000s. I read in a thread from last year that some of the people with ADTs were hearing as late as June 1st, which sucks because what if some of us want to go there but have to SIR at another school instead? That’s a $100 fee we’ll never get back, lol.
@aepaige I think March 1 is for regular transfer admission. I do not have ADT, so I guess they were going by what was specific to my application. Though, with these guys you can never be sure.
@lenocturne Ah, well thank you for giving me at least some date. I suppose I could call them on Monday and get an answer about ADT transfers to post somewhere on this site, lol.
Hello Everyone!
My stats:
CSU GPA: 2.95
Major: Philosophy
Units completed: 97
Golden four: completed
CSU’s I applied to: CSULB , Cal Poly SLO, San Diego State and CSU Dominguez Hills.
Accepted: CSULB, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
Pending: CSUDH, San Diego State
Yeah the struggle is real lol
@Crazycakes96 For SJSU, your gpa needs to be a tad higher because all majors are impacted there. I got into my major with a 3.39 gpa. B.S Justice studies. It needs to be a 3.0+. They are getting extremely selective. Two students at my CC got denied by SJSU with a 3.2 gpa. It’s getting tougher to get in because of budget cuts. I would still apply and wait and see. Good luck.
Congrats @Crazycakes96 !! My friend and her sister got in as well, so I won’t be alone lol.
CC: Southwestern College/ Grossmont College for (SPRING 2016)
CSU GPA: 3.2
MAJOR: Biology
COMPLETED UNITS: 92
GOLDEN FOUR: Completed
APPLIED TO: SFSU, SDSU,CSULB, CSUN, CSUSB, CSUEB, CSUF CSUSM
ACCEPTED: CSULB, CSUSB, CSUEB
I was wondering if SFSU would allow you to change concentration on your major. The schools that I all applied to was General Biology (BS), but for SFSU their General Biology was (BA) so I just chose that. Doing some research, since I want to pursue a career in the health field, SFSU Biology website highly recommended not doing General Biology (BA)[since that is more towards being a teacher] and to do their other concentrations that they offer. So now I am considering to change it to Biology Concentration in Physiology (BS). Do you guys think I would have an issue changing the concentration? The prerequisites are the same, but since its impacted and I’m non-local I am very worrisome about this.
Has anyone with an AA-T heard from all the schools they applied to yet? If so, what’s your major and what schools?
@aepaige I’ve been accepted to CSULB and Pomona and I have an AS-T in Business Admin
Okay, cool. Congratulations! It’s good that some ADT students are getting their acceptances already from impacted schools. I’m waiting on SFSU and SDSU and I’m the only person I know who has an ADT. I heard AA-T students were going to have to wait until after April.
Well, I’ll join the crown and post my stats so it can help others.
CC: Santa Monica College (current academic year 2015-2016)
MAJOR: Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering
UNITS COMPLETED: 90+
CUMULATIVE GPA: 2.81 (went to several CC’s and a UC)
CSU’s APPLIED TO: Cal State LA, CSUN, Sac State, Cal Poly Pomona
CSU’s ADMITTED: Cal State LA
Can’t wait for March 1 to come around. Been in school too long but I realized I wanted to become an engineer after all. Finished most of the pre req’s but I will still need to need Physics III (Thermodynamics and Waves) and Linear Algebra.
Other than that, I should be good.
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind taking the Cal State LA offer but I want to know if the other CSU I applied to have a better connection in engineering firms/internships.
Also, if possible, if those connections can lead me to go out of state.
For those of you who got accepted to Fullerton - How do you know?
I have checked my student center on the WebPortal numerous times and it just says:
“Thank you for applying to Cal State Fullerton. We have received your application. No admission decision has been made at this time. Please click on the ‘View All To Do Items’ hyperlink for more details.”
But almost all of you already have your decisions…
Also… Has anyone found out their decision from CSUSM yet? If so, how on earth do we find out?! I check in my portal and it basically tells me about my profile. There is no sign of any decision anywhere.
Thank you!!!
Good luck to everyone who is still waiting
@aepaige I got accepted on Sunday… Probably not going but still feels good to have the option.
@Transferchic16 Yay! Congratulations. They’re having a preview day on March 12th if you want to see what they have to offer.
Has anyone heard back from Chico? My application status has been pending for review for weeks now. I am a transfer student who applied under civil engineering. I finished the “golden four” courses and all 3 calc classes that were required however I have not taken physics yet. My gpa is a 3.1. What are my chances of getting in?
Your situation is so similar to mine. I’m still waiting also and they told me that the latest the decisions will come out is mid April.
@5umtim3s let me know if you get in or not! This wait is driving me crazy
