CSU GPA calculator help?

Hi, I’m an out-of-state student applying to SDSU with CSUmentor and I have some questions about calculating my GPA on the site that CSUmentor provides.

Say I took a psychology class at my high school, it is a half-year course and I got an A. Do I count this as a course under the A section even though it’s a half year course?

Also, hypothetically say that I earned 10 A’s and 2 of them were honors. Do I put that I got 8 A’s and then put the 2 in the honors section or do I put 10 and 2?

Finally, do I not enter grades for classes I’m taking this year (I’m a senior in HS)? The only grades I enter in the calculator are from 10th and 11th grade?

Sorry if this questions are dumb or common sense, it’s just odd for me because I live in NY and we don’t usually have to calculate anything like this, and we don’t use the a-g system. Thanks very much!

As an OOS applicant, only AP/IB or DE courses count for the Honors points. You can up all your A’s, B’s, C’s, D’s etc… for the a-g courses taken 10-11th grade. Enter the number of each grade. Then see how many semesters of AP/IB or DE courses you have 10-11th grade and take that number (maximum 8) and enter into the honors points.
Select calculate and you have your CSU GPA.

Psychology usually goes under section (g) College Prep. If it is 1 semester, you enter in the grade for that semester and put NO for the 2nd semester

Thanks very much, this was very helpful. The people at SDSU admissions were super helpful as well and connected me with a current student from NY!
