same thing here
Mine requests āadditional informationā to make a decision but thereās no list of what I need to submitā¦ it says itll email me what I need to submit but its been a weekā¦
Hmmm. Iād go ahead and contact admissions on that one. It seems not all emails are going through. And while some emails arenāt important, yours is.
accepted: Journalism! In state, not local
Stats? Thanks. Waiting on same major.
My daughter just got in (not sure when, she doesnāt check email often).
Business Human Resources Management
UW 3.95, W 4.17
Tons of work, volunteer, sports (not sure if they look at that)
Sheās been accepted to several private schools, waiting on CPSLO and UCD.
Has anyone else got a email stating that theyāre still considering your admission and that they will not be able to make a decision until the end of march due to the highly competitive process?
W 4.1 UW 3.8
Lots of APs/honors
My son got in (not sure when),but it says pre-computer science . He applied for CS. Does this mean he is accepted to the major?
Yes, got it today for my son, who applied for CS. What was your major and stats you got it for?
My son was CS, CSU GPA 4.0. No Honors/APs through 11th grade.
This was the email:
I am writing to provide an update on the status of your admission application. The good news is that you are still being considered for admission for Fall 2022 and we have everything we need to complete our review.
However, I want to let you know that we will not be able to make a decision on your application until the end of March due to our highly competitive process. I understand that this is both an exciting and anxious time for you, but we ask for your patience as we continue our reviews.
We are committed in having a decision for you in late March to April, so please continue to do well in your classes and check your email regularly. Thank you for your patience.
S22 finally got an email from LB today telling him he was admitted. That sucker took a while.
My son got the same email, within the 30 mins.
I donāt think anyone answered you.
DS=ādear sonā
DD=ādear daughterā
So when people abbreviate, youāll typically see S22 or DS for sons and D22 or DD for daughters.
yes I applied for biomedical engineering and got the same thing
@chinhuen: Many of the impacted programs at the CSUās admit the student into a āpreā major and then they have complete pre-req courses with a specific GPA to declare the major. SDSU is also another CSU that has many āpreā majors.
CSULB website:
Freshmen admission to engineering majors is to a āpre-majorā status (i.e., Pre-Computer Science). Continuation in the major will be subject to meeting specific lower division course and GPA requirements at CSULB that indicate the studentās ability to succeed and complete the major. Transfer applicants and CSULB students seeking admission into Computer Science must also meet similar major specific requirements. To become fully admitted into the Computer Science major, all prospective students (i.e., pre-majors, undeclared, major changes) must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and complete the following lower-division courses with a minimum grade of āCā prior to earning 60 units:
Core Lower-Division Major Requirements:
- MATH 122 - Calculus I (4 units)
- MATH 123 - Calculus II (4 units)
- PHYS 151 - Mechanics and Heat (4 units)
General Education Foundations Courses:
- Written and Oral Communication
Yep.
Presumably theyāve gotten a record number of applications and are backlogged getting through them all.
Got it . Thank you!
Is this effectively a waitlist letter without saying waitlist? I got it too.
Construction Management 4.1 W GPA some honor classes, a good amount of AP classes
Not sure what the email means since iāve seen other friends get acceptances already, it kind of sounds like a waitlist offer, or maybe it could just be that thereās a lot more of applicants this year
