CSU Long Beach or CSU Fullerton?

Hey folks, first thread here. My topic is basically about whether I should attend CSULB or CSUF. Everything, save for waiting for Fafsa awards, is in order for Fullerton while I was just recently admitted for CSULB. I applied for Graphic Design for both universities.

My concerns are primarily about how hard is it to acquire needed classes in Long Beach (I heard the severe impaction causes difficulties but I truly want know how bad it is), what are the environments like for both, how hard is it to obtain housing, and which school has better quality in Graphic Design.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to visit either campus yet. Fullerton has a visit date coming up but I’m worried that if I don’t make a decision soon, Long Beach may rescind me (or is that only if I don’t send a transcript of confirmation?) All perspectives/advice/experiences are welcome. Thanks in advance.

The campus crowding is a thing of the past at all the CSUs - though could rear its head again with significant budget cuts.

I believe both have opened their freshman housing to reservations - and prime spots go fast at both campuses.

You have to tour the campuses and talk to some current students to make the call.
