Conditional admission is what every transfer student gets offered (if offered admission at all). It just means you still need to finish your classes this Spring semester and if so you’ll be officially admitted.

Is CSULB an impacted school?

@futurerapg0d: CSULB is an impacted school along with SDSU, SJSU and SLO.

@Gumbymom out of those, which would you say has the highest ranking?

@futurerapg0d: SLO would probably have the highest ranking but as long as the programs are ABET accredited, they teach pretty much the same material. My advice is if you haven’t visited all the schools of interest, visit first, talk to professors in the department and students before making a final decision. I am not a fan of rankings and most rankings are based on graduate studies, not undergraduate.

Find the best school fit that meets your needs academically/financially and socially. All schools are very different in their overall vibe.

@princesssssstiff that is honestly so strange that you did not get in. I applied as Business Management as well but with an emphasis in Management rather than Econ and I got in with a 3.57. I had all of my major prep completed as you did and I had all A’s in the golden 4 as you did. I had one C in econ and a couple of B’s in my major prep courses.

I’m not sure if the business econ major is more competitive than the business management major but regardless I would imagine that they are fairly similar in competitiveness. From what I have seen with people being admitted with lower GPA’s than you, I would say appealing would definitely be worth considering… or even calling to make sure that they did not make a mistake. If you call the admissions counselors do not speak in a negative or attacking tone, just be honest and sincere with them and hopefully they’ll help you out.

Good luck.

@rebeccamrude1234 what was ur top school? I got in for nursing as well

Got an email yesterday, basically said that I am under consideration and that my entry level math and english requirements have already been fulfilled.

@Goolia66 Got that yesterday, too. Don’t think it means anything to be honest.

Has anyone received a decision yet? I just checked the self service portal and it says that my application was advanced to the competitive round.
