CSU unit cap?

Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew about the unit cap for transfer policy that CSULB has. I know the unit cap for transfers is 70 units but I want to know that once you hit 70 units, how do they decide which units transfer? I’m applying for Spring but I’m taking the required classes for the major I’m applying to this fall which will put me over 70. So if those are required for the major for admission, but exceed the 70 unit cap, will they count? (I’m mostly hoping they will decide to not count the only “B” I’ve ever gotten since it’s a class that does nothing for my GE/Major…)

Thanks

Only 70 units transferred from community colleges will count toward the 120 units for graduate, but you will get subject credit for all courses taken.

In terms of GPA, colleges usually calculate it only on courses taken at that college. If you are not sure about CSULB, ask directly.
