Just curious: Has anyone applying for Spring 2014 admission heard anything from CSULB other than the acknowledgement letter upon submitting the application?

Thanks.

Just curious: Has anyone applying for Spring 2014 admission heard anything from CSULB other than the acknowledgement letter upon submitting the application?

Thanks.

my friend applied for spring and she said she got an email telling her that she now has to complete the supplemental application

Hmmm. Interesting. She had to do supplemental for summer classes or something? Do you know what her GPA is? Thanks again!

No, the supplemental application is required for every transfer applicant. Once you get through the first round where you applied through CSUMentor, you will be sent a notification that you need to complete more questions about your courses (supplemental application). Her gpa I think is a 3.6. When I applied to transfer for fall I also had to do the supplemental app. It just asks you about your classes and grades in great detail, like what category it’s under and everything

Ah. I guess I was thinking that they were asking her to update her current grades (as in classes that might have been in progress when she applied) and I thought, what school was in session in August?? Ha. I’ll continue to be patient. :)

well you will update your grades on the supp, but they also will ask you for an official transcript so if you make one little mistake on the supp that looks like a lie, you are automatically denied admission.

I got an email from them today (actually, I got three, but who’s counting?) saying that they would be contacting me/us for the supplemental info in September.

I have a current GPA of 3.8 and a cumulative transfer GPA of 3.6 (current GPA combined with the GPA from a stint in school over a decade ago), so I’m not concerned in that arena; but I’m an Art major, so…yeah. We’ll see how that all shakes out.

hi, guys…I applied CSULB for Spring 2014 as well . I did not finished all the preretirement courses by summer… one of them need to be done this Fall. What is my chance ? really worried about it !! :(

Well, I’m no expert, but you may have a problem if you’re not currently enrolled in that class this semester. What class is it you’re missing?

My friend applied to CSUN last fall and was rejected pretty early on because he hadn’t taken Speech…ironically, he was accepted to UC Berkley, USC and UCLA, though.

I finished Golden Four already. what I need to take this Fall is Econ, which is one of my major requirement.

My Major for CSULB is: Health care administration
GPA : 3.5
I also applied for CSU Fullerton with Business Administration major.
We’ll see.
CSU has some stubborn and over-elaborate “rules”.
UC system seems more flexible and …thoughtful…

BecGuan, did you submit your supplemental info? I was wondering about how that Econ class thing is going to end up for you! Hopefully it won’t matter.

I’m assuming we won’t have a reason to hear back from them before the 26th deadline, right? I’m getting impatient. ;)

Yea… i summited it two weeks ago… the admission decisions probably gonna be made next month. good luck !!!

I got in! They sent an email today at about 2:00pm.

My hubby and his buddy got in for Spring, too.

Awesome! Congrats!
