I think the best way to find out about your Admission decision is to call the automated number then press 0 and speak to an admission person.

Tell them that you haven’t heard back and were just wondering if they knew when you would!

hey blondiex93, have you heard back about your housing status? like an email or anything?

No, they haven’t even accepted my check yet, and I sent it in last Tuesday

has anyone that is transferring from CCC to CSULB been accepted?

^^Son received his acceptance about two weeks ago; transferring from OCC.

Alright I would greatly appreciate some opinions about my predicament.
I have a 3.9 and a rather sad 1640 SAT score. However, i have had a steady job for over a year now(25 hours a week) and i have many extracurricular activities.
I was accepted to CSULB and have been giving it a lot of thought since I have heard it’s a good school, it’s cheap and it has a nursing program.
But I have been freaking out about living on campus because the dorms look tiny…any recommendations?
Also i was wait listed from SDSU [my first choice].
Accepted to UCI, UCSC, Cal Poly, UofA, NAU.
I live in San Diego and absolutely love it here and am also afraid of attending CSULB in smoggy LA. GAH…any advice would be nice :(

The Residential Learning College is off campus, but the dorms as really nice. I would reccommend those :]

I would also reccommend CSULB over the other UC’s that you were accepted to because it is a lot cheaper and CSU’s are more focused on the student’s success.

CSULB is a few miles away from ocean. There is no smog in Long Beach.

@blondiex293: i called the housing guy (562-985-4187) and he said “oh we’re running late on sending emails” he seemed like they work lazy/slow there… and he made me feel better that applying the 17th wasnt late at all. so im sure your fine too:]

Has anyone gotten any information of greek life or not? when do you find this information out???

This website should help get you started. Every semester they have rush week where you can find out more.

@HBemily: Okay, that makes me feel so much better!
Did you send your payment in through a check in the mail or did you pay online? I thought we had to do a check, so I sent one in but it still hasn’t cashed, and I sent it last Tuesday. I guess they’re slow on that too

@blondiex293: yea i paid online, but im sure they’re slow on cashing checks if theyre slow on sending out emails. :)

Hahaha yeah probably. I should have paid online! I didn’t know I could, though, because I had to send the form in through the mail since I’m not 18 and I thought I HAD to send the payment with that paper.

omg me too, that paper confused me so much, they do make it seem like you have to send in that contract paper. im hoping the online thing was the same as the printed paper…

Yeah they couldn’t have made it more difficult haha. Well if you’re over 18 you didn’t have to send in a paper, but because I am under 18 I had to sign the actual paper- I guess minors aren’t allowed to sign their names via the internet.

I was under 18 at the time I did my hose app online (march 1st), but was able to complete it no problem. I turned 18 on the 18th.

I believe they would have not let the payment/app go through if I was too young,

I still have not heard back on my admissions decision. Are they waiting to send out rejections? But one of my friends was rejected a few weeks ago and mine is “Still under review.”. Anybody have any ideas?

I think they just have so many people applying that they don’t send rejections or acceptances out together; I think they do it randomly. Also, they might go by major, which would make their decisions even more random

@tutudragon
So you were under 18 and you didn’t have to send a paper in through the mail? That’s weird. Maybe I have to, though, because I’m not turning 18 until November next year
