Hello! I recently received a “conditional acceptance” to CSU Long Beach for Spring 2020 based on my admission offer from my CalStateApply application and was told via email and csulb log in that, “We will review your official transcripts to verify your admission offer” and our conditional admission offer was based on the information you provided in the Supplemental Application for Transfer Applicants. Once all the official documents listed below are received we will verify that you reported accurately and, IF SO, we will send you an email confirming your admission." I sent in my official transcripts and was then told via csulb log in that my “application for admission was denied,” because my application indicated I had met all requirements and I did not meet the 60 units of general preparation or one social problems course. However my admission offer never stated this. I applied with 58 units and will have 61 units completed by October 20th and 71 credits by the end of fall semester, and all of this was listed on my application, which I have checked many times. I don’t understand why my application was “conditionally accepted” and I then denied when my transcripts were exactly like my offer. What should I do?
This is on the CSULB website:
You were required to complete that social problems course by end of Spring 2019. You were conditionally accepted since they needed to verify completion of the requirements based on your transcripts. They always verify self-reported information against the transcripts and gave you the benefit of doubt until they could decide one way or another if you met the requirements which you did not.
I would apply for Fall 2020 since you will have the requirements completed.
