CSULB FALL 2015 Tranfers

I’m in the same situation:/ hopefully we will get in! I’ll let you know as soon as I get a response. I applied as a psychology major and have a 3.48 gpa.

I just checked my application status and this is what I see, no email or mail, does that mean I am accepted?

It should, they need to confirm the info you sent in your supplemental app.

E.G. reported GPA via official transcripts

According to admission, I got accepted and they sent me an email regarding required documents with deadline, problem is I have not received any emails at all, admission says check your spam, check junk this and that but nothing, they wont re-email me,

Is there anyway you can forward or list post the email you got from school ? You can remove your personal info stuff but please help.

@HeatGun‌ coincidentally, LB did not send me a formal email either. The only way I knew about my transcript submission deadline was the students center link on the portal.

I wonder if there was other required content …

For those who got accepted, what do you see under Status?

Mine shows:

Admitted for: Fall 2015
Status: Intent to Enroll Received - Admission subject to confirmation: Documents needed!

Mine says documents needed, nothing else, called Admissions to get more info but no help, again, “we have sent you an email 4 days ago, you should receive it soon”

Don’t use applicant status any longer, now that you know you have been offered admission.

Instead go to “MyCSULB” and set up your account by entering your student # and fallow the prompts. From there you can see what documents are required in the Student Center tab under the heading “To Do.”

Admission - Subject to confirmation means that you have been admitted based on your information (grades, overall GPA, classes, etc.). The confirmation portion is just asking you to send legitimate documents (transcripts) to prove your status. It’s a normal thing for many universities.

ElAye2OhSea is right though. Quickly go to the mycsulb page, press the set up account button, use your given ID number to open up the portal.

@HeatGun Did you just open up the portal account yesterday? If so, that’s how it was when I first opened up my CSULB (it was empty). It didn’t update itself up for another 2-3 days after where it will indeed ask you for the transcript. I’d recommend preparing your Official transcript, it’s a must for everyone.

I got the same situation with HeatGun. I found out via status check portal that I was admitted to BFA Drawing and Painting, Junior Level Transfer Fall 2015 yesterday. I immediately access to MyCSULB portal and opened student account, accept offer with payment then my to do list is empty. I already have all of my transcripts ready to send, but no instruction. At this point, I am not concerned, but this entire process certainly put me on the test of my perseverance. Hope I can use the lesson for my future art makings.

@DasherCat : No, opened on 4/4/2015 (6 days ago) I’ll go ahead and order transcript from SMC, I have two options detailed transcript or regular, do you know which one to go with? They are same price

@HeatGun Whoah, that’s majorly delayed. As for transcripts, I’m honestly not that sure. My school only has one type of transcript. Go with what you think is best as long as it accounts for the crucial information that you placed on your supplemental applications, all documented classes (completed GE), the GPA matched or pretty close to what you listed, and so forth.

TBH, if that issue persisted, I would actually send a screenshot of my portal account visibly showing an empty to do list to the admin staff. No one likes to be pushy, but I’d be firm to ensure a smooth transition to the school.

@HeatGun Have you received an official email of admittance yet?

Reason I ask, on my email they stated that they have requested the official transcripts from two of the schools I attended on my behalf. Possibly they have done the same in your situation and admissions/records have already received it; therefore the reason for your “To Do List” being empty. Just a thought, but I would still do as DasherCat suggested if the problem still persist with no definitive answer.

Do you know what type of transcript we need to order from SMC? Is it regular one or explained (detailed)?

They would want your official transcripts from any school you have attended thus far. If you are currently enrolled in classes they will also want “Official Final Transcripts” once you receive your grades at the end of the semester.

Today, I received an email from CSULB, it took 8 days to receive it.
I took one class from UCLA Extension two years now I need to obtain one transcript from them as well.

  1. Official College Transcript from: Santa Monica College
  2. Official College Transcript from: UC Los Angeles

Still waiting for their reply. But it’s now in status: Your application is currently complete and ready for review. I wonder how long it would take for them to give out decision… I’ve been waiting 2 weeks since this status pop up…
