CSULB fall 2016 Transfer Students!

how were you able to get that form? I am too getting an AST degree in business. I got an email from Sac state saying to submit my verification by March 15, but I wont be completely finished with my ADT until summer 2016, so i believe i need that from that you got. The strange thing is i already got provisionally accepted into Sac state yesterday, so I dont know if i should bother to send my AST verification. @kesprxt @desertOwl

They have changed my transcript request status to received today

@StilesStyles - How long did that take from the time your transcripts were sent out? I had my transcripts sent about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it still says ‘initiated.’
EDIT: I just read upthread, sorry. I’m just getting so impatient!

I couldn’t check where the “Needed documents” was on mycsulb. I think my account is being weird or something. So I just called their admissions to check for the status of my documents. Hopefully,I would be okay

Accepted for Fall 2016

Second Bachelor’s

Major: Chemical Engineering
GPA: 3.19*
CC: almost every one in the Sacramento area I could get a seat in as to not hinder my progress lol

*because I have a BA, I’m not sure how they’re calculating GPA but this is my overall cumulative (my more recent work in science and has seen me getting much better grades than I got for my BA)

Hey guys, i was accepted into long beach as an international studies major but i have one question: out of all the Cal States, is long beach one of the top ones along with Pomona and san diego? Im curious because i applied to the UC’s and i just heard back from riverside and got accepted but since long beach is way cheaper is it still prestigious?

CSULB is probably on par with UCR and for some majors even more competitive.

Hey guys just wanted to update my status. I already posted here with my stats and got accepted to the econ major.
I sent my official transcripts around 2-3 weeks ago and after checking today, found that on “admissions inquiry” on my csulb, it now reads “admitted” where as before I think it said something along the lines of “Admitted-Pending documents requested for confirmation”. I checked my to do list and it says that I have to submit official transcripts, however it now says the due date is in July.

Check your mycsulb to make sure you guys have around the similar thing so you know your admitted for sure. Just decided to post this to let others know.

Okay so as of a few days ago my “Additional documents needed” notification presented in my self service finally disappeared. I had sent my transcript and ADT verification electronically and they got received.
So now I am officially on their waitlist! Yay! Now its just time to… wait. CSUF is lagging it pretty bad too… they are my backup and I haven’t heard anything from them… Got accepted to CSULA though, so at least someone replied.

@Msmclagirl if you have the money or don’t mind graduating with student loans go to a UC but not UCR I personally think CSULB is better than UCR (just my opinion)
I would bring it down to CSULB or SDSU for cal states I think CPP is mainly an architect/engineer school still really good but LB and SD have better busi. programs

look at this link UC Berkeley and SDSU are top ten for International busi. → http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/business-international

HEY anybody know if CSULB has like a “transfer day” or “Open House Day” where you get to explore the school and the college you are interested in and there are workshops available I know that CSUSB and SDSU have this anybody know is CSULB have something similar ? or is the only way to get to know the school is through a tour ?

@StilesStyles, There is SOAR day for admitted students at CSULB. Not sure about open house days.

Accepted!

Major: Business Administration (Information Systems)
GPA: 3.2
Golden Four: Completed
IGETC/CSU breadth: Completed
AS-T: Business Administration
Applied: Cal Poly (denied), UCI (waiting), UCR (waiting), Portland State University (Accepted), University of Illinois-Chicago (denied)

Congratulations to all that got accepted and good luck to all that is still waiting.

Update : There is a similar event at CSULB like CSUSB (transfer day) and SDSU (open house) have it’s called “Preview Day” its for accepted transfer students I just got an invite to attend in my email

this is part of the email I got for any future students interested in such event (it says for business majors but I am sure each college/major has it’s own “Preview Day” to:

“CBA Preview Day will be a great way for you to feel what it is like to be a business student, learn more about your chosen field of study, and hear from faculty, alumni, and current students. You will learn how to succeed as a student studying Business at The Beach and about employment opportunities that await you after graduation. In addition, there will be information about our Advising Center, the Student Center for Professional Development (including internship opportunities), and other programs and services. Members of our student clubs and organizations will also be on hand to share how you can get involved in activities for both career building and networking.”

Posting this a little late but:

Status: Accepted
Major: Communication
GPA: 3.75
AA-T: Communication Studies (received Spring 2015)
IGETC: Finished spring 2015
Golden 4: Done, all A’s
School: Santa Barbara City College, though currently taking classes online there, and classes at OCC and Santa Monica College
Applied: SDSU (Pending), UCLA (Pending), Berkeley (Pending), UCI (Pending), UCSB (TAG; Pending), UCSD (Pending)

This didn’t really come as a surprise for me, I was accepted into CSULB straight out of high school but decided not to go. For the record, I attended high school in their local area. I know that affects freshman admission, but I don’t know if that was taken into account for my transfer admission.

Congrats to everyone!

High school in the local area is also taken into account for transfer admissions. Congrats!

@vaganchik96 Yeah, for the record I didn’t go to high school in the local area, so that probably didn’t help my chances. My results so far are :CSUF: Accepted, SJSU: Accepted, ASU, Accepted, Sacramento State: Accepted, CSULB: Waitlisted, CPP: Pending, SDSU: Rejected. Best of luck to you!

@jwmcdaniel95 What was your major? If you don’t mind me asking

@psyphil12 Mechanical Engineering.

After nearly 4 1/2 weeks, my transcripts (3 of them) were FINALLY received and now I no longer have anything on my ‘to do’ list. Phew!
