Hello. I’m applying to transfer for fall 2020 in the math major.
I have two questions
1)I am unsure how to calculate my transfer GPA.
In the community college I finished the calculus sequence and Linear Algebra. Each calculus class is 5 units and Linear Algebra is 4 units.
However in CSULB all the calculus classes are 4 units and Linear Algebra is 3 units. (1 unit lesser for each class).
Do i count the units from the community college or only the ones that transfer to CSULB?
- For the 60 unit requirement for upper division transfer do I count the units from the community college or for CSULB?
thanks
- If you enter all your courses into the CSU apply application, your CSU Transfer GPA will be calculated. You enter the courses with unit credits based on your CC courses.
- The 60 unit Semester requirement or the 90 unit quarter requirement is based on your transferable CC courses.
Hopefully this link will help you in filling out the supplemental application:
http://www.csulb.edu/admissions/supplemental-application
you need to look at your transcripts and see which classes are transferable based on those classes you need to add all the points earned and then divided them by the number of transferable units you took.
