CSULB vs CSUF vs SFSU vs SDSU

I’m interested in going into animation, and I’m still not sure where I want to go after all this time.

I’ve heard that csulb and csuf have good programs, but I also have to consider the costs. I live in the Bay Area, so SFSU would probably be better? I don’t live in sf, but it’s just a 40 min drive to there…I’d also have to pay the bridge toll every time, so I dunno…I’d like to go to csulb but I don’t know if it’s worth going all the way down to LA and dorming there.

I want a good program and learning environment, but I also want it to be affordable enough…from the financial offers I’ve gotten from those 4, SFSU gives the most aid and covers nearly all my costs and SDSU is the most expensive after aid.

Also, what the environment like for each of them?

AHhh I have less than an month to decide and I want to make a choice a soon as possible

How much is affordable, and which campuses’ net prices fall into that range?

For SFSU commuting, you can calculate your own estimate of commuting costs by car and BART, and how much food and utilities you consume at home. The campus’ estimate may not be the same as what your costs will be.

I agree. I’m also from the Bay Area and I have considered all of these before committing to CSULB. BUT, at the same time, I had to recognize that there are better opportunities in Southern California compared to San Francisco.
