CSU Northridge v. CSU Long Beach v. UCSC?

Hi! So this morning I just received my acceptance letter from San Francisco State University, but my top three choices are CSUN, CSULB, and UCSC. However, I don’t know which school is best for a career in Animation! I believe CSUN is the better option in terms of location, but I’m eager to get more information based on other criteria.

A) Which is the better school in terms of LOCATION (including internship opportunities)?
B) Which is the better school in terms of PRESTIGE?
C) Which is the better school when it comes to the Animation/Art department?
D) Which is the better school OVERALL?
E) If you attend (or have attended) one of these schools, tell me about your experience! Any tips for me, just in case I intend to apply to that school?

Wait until you get all your acceptances before trying to figure out which school is best. It is good that you are thinking ahead but you should have all your acceptances by end of March and you need to enroll by May 1, so you have plenty of time to determine which school would be the best fit. I would also make sure you visit any school that you plan to enroll since posters can give you some information, but actually seeing the campuses will sometimes put everything into perspective.

I have heard that CSULB’s animation program is great. Cannot comment on the others.

Generally, CSULB is well known for anything related to arts or entertainment, but I agree with the above poster that you should wait until you know your options.
