betweeen the two, I'd definitely go for SD if only for the weather.

Yeah, it's kind of ghetto if you go south of SDSU. I'd just stick to having an apartment around the campus, campanile, baja, 54th etc.

Man, I'm contemplating on the 2 schools myself!!! I only applied to the 2 and got accepted for both. I was instantly admitted to Sac and I was skeptical of SD since my major in business is highly impacted. I'm about 80% sure I'm going to Sacramento because it's close to home, and the cost of living is soooooooooooo much cheaper. I would loooooooooooove to go to San Diego but cost of living is waaaaaay toooooooo hiiiiiiiiigh!!!! Sac St.'s campus is ugly IMO, a bit depressing. The city itself is a bit depressing.....

sacramento (the city) sucks. nasty weather, no culture, middle of nowhere.
san diego (the town) is a nice college town. But beware of TJ, SDSU is much wilder of a party school.
SDSU is definitely thought of as "better" because more people go there/want to go there because it is in a nicer place. However,i guess the quality of teh education is the same between them

What makes you say the quality of their business programs are the same? I thought SDSU had a superior business program but I don't mind going to Sac because it is also accredited by the AACSB.

When you hear that programs are impacted at SDSU, that just means they're trying to keep enrollment down. All you have to keep is a 2.9 in your undergrad years in order to be admitted to upper division business classes. Although considering the average GPA is a 2.5 at SDSU, you have to inherently be in the top 20-30 percent of your class. There are a few tough courses like Business calc and Information Decision systems, that have definitely lowered my GPA. But aside from the tough classes it's definitely not that hard to keep a 2.9 if you put some work into it.

By the way, after about freshmen year, i believe most SDSU students get over TJ. It's not even that much fun, pretty dirty and it's relatively expensive b/c you have to pay for the club, (alcohol at the club), and the bus ride over there.
