<p>-Senior attending the top (#1) public high school in the state of Illinois (so obviously the school is extremely competitive). </p>

-sophmore-senior year - varstiy soccer and tennis (captain of varsity soccer 2 yrs, captain of varsity tennis 1 yr).</p>

<p>I’d say you stand a better than 50% chance of getting in. Your GPA is a little on the low side for the average admitted freshman, but your ACT score is up there. I would suggest contacting a CU Admissions counselor for further insight.</p>
<p>I don’t think out of state helps your chances. Just like any other public schools they have to take a lot in state kids because they are required by law. however with the bad economy I am guessing they will want to take more out of state kids. With that said they want your money, so I wouldn’t expect any scholarships. </p>
<p>In Colorado there is an index score for instate kids to see there chances with the Colorado schools. If they are above the line it’s pretty much an automatic acceptance. So maybe search that and see how you compare.</p>
