<p>Hi guys! I need help as I have applied to CUHK and HKU in mid-November. I applied for Journalism as my major with a SAT score of 1950 with 740 in maths, 610 in critical reading, and 600 in writing. My GPA is a 3.58/4. I have 5 APs in total. I have a 4 in World History and English Language and Composition. I am taking AP Biology, AP Literature and Composition, and AP Psychology. I have a 8.0 band score in IELTS. I have also taken SAT Subject Test in World History and Biology Ecological. What do you guys think my chances are of getting into CUHK and HKU? I am also a local student. Thank you guys for the help. </p>
<p>I think CUHK is probably easier for you to get into, considering HKU’s requirement for SAT this year is some where around 2200.
I can’t remember the exact number, but you can find all these stats on their websites.</p>
<p>If u r a local student who’s applying with international stats, then the score thresholds are not that high. What major are you applying for? That is the key to your odds of admission. If you are not applying for the highly competitive majors such as MBBS, BBA,IBGM, BSc(quant and normal) or BEng etc. at HKU, then I should say your chances are quite decent. CUHK is easier for you overall, but again, the majors specified on your application really do matter. </p>

i got an offer from CUHK but i idint get a schlorship offer yet!
