i'm graduating next year so i can't really raise my gpa..

even if i do it will be around 2.9..

what should i do!?!! ;(

Look at your school’s requirements, and also look at what is required by the companies to which you apply. My school requires that, if you put your major GPA, you include the number of courses you took in the major. Some companies will request a cumulative GPA, in which case you can’t put a major GPA. Other companies won’t specify, so as long as you don’t try to pass off your major GPA as your cumulative one, you should be fine.

Good: “Major GPA: 3.40 (9 courses)”
Bad: “GPA: 3.4”

It would be misleading to just put your major GPA. You can certainly put both, but your overall GPA is probably what this internship program wants. List both GPAs for what they are and then apply anyway. They might chuck your application out, but they might not–worth applying anyway. Can’t get it at all if you don’t apply.
