I have taken some CC classes and some of my classmates transferring to berkeley after 2 yrs of CC have gotten into Haas. I thought Haas is a business graduate school and did not serve undergrads?

the ppl who got into Haas from 2 yrs of CC are thinking they are really great and elite going to the prestigious business school...

i am confused. i thought u have to apply to Haas for grad to get MBA. so what are all those undergrads at Haas doing? and is it really that selective to get into haas undergrad?

There is an undergrad business program offered by Haas.

Very selective. 8% acceptance rate via the jc transfer route (low because many fail to complete the required courses)
50% acceptance rate for UC Berkeley students who apply.

so are u guranteed to go to Haas business school afterwards? or is it just a 2 yr program and u have to apply for business school when u finish undergrad. 50% sounds kinda high isnt it? but since its berkeley i guess top 50% is still pretty hard

what kind of courses do u have to finish at a jc? is it hard or just tedious, or both, resulting in the 8% rate. the jc where i took classes is pretty up there in terms of helping lots of students to transfer and i have met many to-be-Haas transfers this fall. so i was surprised u said 8%.

They have reason to be, I think. From what I know, its the third best business school (only behind Wharton and MIT). The people who go to Haas are also known as Haasholes.

Transferring from a CC to Haas is almost gauranteed. CCs are ridiculously easy. You get to skip out on some weeders, and you pretty much have no competition.
