I got an email yesterday afternoon from FAFSA saying that a college (it did not specify which one) had accessed my information from them. Less than an hour later I got an email from Davidson asking me to please notify them if I had been accepted early decision or enrolled in a different school/committed somewhere else already. Trying not to read too much into things, but it’s at least a little interesting. Since Davidson is a need-blind admissions process, why would they be accessing my FAFSA unless they had already decided to accept me? Granted, I don’t have 100% proof that it was Davidson that accessed my FAFSA, but I am only waiting to hear back from 2 other schools and I’m pretty sure they have both accessed it already. Did anyone else get these 2 emails? Is my suspicion legitimate or am I reading too much into it? TIA
My D18 got the same email, but no email about FAFSA.
Interesting… what does D18 stand for? My guess is “Daughter Class of '18”
Yes, @jdmazdbacks it does.
We’ve never received an email from FAFSA stating that info had been accessed. S did receive that Davidson email.
that wasn’t a FAFSA email, it was an IDOC email most likely. you can view who requests IDOC documents on collegeboard account. Note that FAFSA and IDOC are two different things. everyone got that other email. wish you the best.
I am pretty sure it was FAFSA @university2022
