Hi,
Do you know anything about internal transfer from Columbia CC to SEAS for accepted incoming freshmen? I got into CC ED, but I’m regretting not having applied to SEAS for a biomedical engineering major. Can I change my school before I get there?
Thanks
Hi, I was just rejected by Cornell in ED. My mind is kind of drifting right now because I question my ability to get in to Columbia… While I think the reason I am not accepted is my school specific essay, I am still worried about "is rejection from Cornell an indication of not being accepted by other Ivies? …
@Aldnoah if you have reasonably competitive stats, then yeah, I’d say that it’s probably more a matter of supplements and “fit” and whatnot - really expressing that you belong at the school. That said, I have nothing to do with admissions… aaand I’m not really a Columbia student (yet!). This is just my couple cents.
@Aldnoah My friend was waitlisted by Cornell RD, accepted by Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, UPenn, and a whole host of other really good schools. Cornell is one of the most selective schools in the country - at its level, it’s pretty much a lottery. Just try your best to make yourself stand out through your essays and don’t assume anything quite yet!
So I just got accepted to Columbia. The only thing I’m worried about it the competitiveness and difficulty of the classes. I was 16/434 in my class with a 97.57 gpa so I’m not really a genius. But I’m sure I’ll meet a lot of geniuses when I get to the campus. I’m going to run the pre-med track by the way. How has your experience been with this kind of stuff @CCInsider?
So I am a college freshman wanting to transfer to Columbia for my sophomore year. How difficult are the classes?
