Does cornell request our high school transcript if we are a guaranteed transfter for fall 2007? Or do they just want the college transcript?

^GT for what?

i'm pretty sure they want to see a final high school record to ensure solid performance up until the end of senior year.

yeah, they want all transcripts

so no screwing off as a senior.

Poor HS grades = rejection as a GT.

Ok that sounds reasonable. However, if you had extenuating circumstances senior yr, would they not weigh senior grades as heavily as 1st yr college grades?

also wouldnt they already have your high school transcript + midyr in ur file?

GT for what school?

human ecology.

I just called Cornell and they said that the college transcript is the most important determinant for gt. They also said I should mention my circumstance in a seperate page in the gt application. So does this basically mean that gt status applies solely to the college transcript and the high school transcript is used only to make sure you didnt fail, etc?

if you HS grades drops too far, they will likely throw away the GT and you will be considered as just a regular transfer applicant.

well they dropped not due to having senioritis but to extenuating circumstances (failure of parental health, other parent's depression, poverty, etc). Also it will be most probably 2-3 C's.
