I'm sitting at home with nothing to do until spring semester begins so I figured I'd take this time to answer any questions future JHU students may have about JHU. For me, CC forums were pretty helpful back when I applied to JHU so I'd like to give back. Although I am pre-med and know a lot about the "pre-med program" at Hopkins, I will try my best to answer any non-premed questions ya'll may have.

Some background:
* I'm currently a JHU senior majoring in biology
* I've been admitted to a top 30 US allopathic medical school
* I applied ED to JHU

Is it generally feasible (in terms of workload, etc.) to be a non-science major on the premed track? I’d like to major in English while pursuing the premed route, but I’m worried about whether that would be possible. Or would it be better to major in a science field and pick English as a minor, instead?

That is definitely possible. Pre-med just means a set of classes you have to take (Bio1+2, Calc1+2, Gen Chem1+2, Gen Physics1+2, Orgo1+2, Biochem, and the associated labs). You can major in anything you want as long as you maintain a high GPA.
