I just thought it was funny that 10 yrs later I’m reading this as a 1L & think One L prepared me so much on my expectations despite being over 30 yrs old, so you should check ur sources.
I think my biggest advise is even the “smartest” in undergrad do not succeed in law school because the learning is conceptual and not factual like we were used to. So while you may have a similar work load, you may find it takes you longer because grasping a wholistic concept and being able to use it in an analysis within a random fact pattern
is much harder than spouting out a pregenerated response.
As to the which class will prepare you better question, there’s no dispositive answer. My sister was a political science major and went to Columba law and ended up as a partner in personal injury. I was a fashion merch major and am at UT Law. My best friend has a bachelors and masters in finance and she is just as scattered as I am. There is no doubt that anyone in law school does not deserve to be there. If i had to answe ur question on the courses that are helpful. Take a typing course, take something that is very project heavy so you get used to working endlessly to reach a distance goal, take an analysis writing could (not a creative writing course. Aka Instant death in legal writing).
Develope some tough ass skin and remember that the lower the ranking school you go to—the more competative it shall be. Apply early and just maybe you’ll get into an I’ve w the high pass/low pass standard
