I know each year all schools seem to get more and more selective. I’m having trouble finding good solid statistics on Bentley’s current admission stats. Also what stats are required for good merit aid. And in general, how good is Bentley with their merit aid. Their website says they have many “one-third tuition to full tuition scholarships” but it doesn’t really state the requirements as other schools do.

Any info would be helpful. Any current students that received merit aid want to share their stats?

Check out the Princeton Review site. It gives the bottom quarter SAT wise and the top quarter. To get any shot at merit aid, you either have to be in the top quarter, or a minority or a recruited athlete or any combination of the above.

(assuming you don't have to log in first). If you do,just register and search Bentley.

Their top 25% gets over 620 on critical reading and over 680 on math and 670 or over on writing. Thus, if you get over 620 on verbal and over 680 on math with good GPA, you should see some merit aid. Again, if you have other hooks that they want such as minority, want to major in philosophy, athlete, female, etc. you would have a better shot.

Our high school was ranked in the top 50 by US News and is reputed to be one of the best public high schools in the nation.

Enter as a guest. Just so you know, we use a weighted program with honors and AP courses get an extra point. Thus, an "A" in an honors or AP course would get 5 points and not 4.

I'm currently at Bentley on a 1/3 scholarship. I had a 1930 (570v, 670m, 690wr). I know a kid who had a 1980, got 1/2 nd is in the honors program. It really depends though because I know another guy who got a 2080 nd only got 1/3.

Thx Dani, I'm hoping some more people can post some stats vs. merit aid in order to give prospective students some idea of what Bentley merit aid is like. In addition to SAT's however is class rank, GPA, etc. So any information anyone wants to share would be appreciated.

RatedPG, just so you know, Bentley has been rising in the rating. More and more folks are finding out that it really is a nice gem of a school. Because of this, what folks tell you on this site may be obsolete for what is required by you. Send in the application anyway. You have nothing to lose if you like the school.
