<p>but for the current year courses section on the common app, I am not positive how to name the courses. For example, should I write "AP Environmental Science" or "Envrnmnt Sci AP," as it is listed on my transcript? Or "AP US Government" or "GovPol US AP?"</p>

<p>I’d spell them out if there are enough characters allowed to do that. If not, abbreviate it. As long as they can figure it out, it doesn’t matter.</p>
<p>Don’t feel compelled to use abbreviations to match your transcript. You have plenty of space in this section to spell out the full class titles. Our D went even farther on two classes that aren’t obvious and provided a bit of explanation.</p>
<p>i would recommend writing ap environmental science, but it does not matter as they will figure it out on your transcripts</p>
