curriculum description

Let's use the curriculum description for Bio and Society as an example
The distribution requirement for Human Biology, Health, and Society is 38 - 47 credits...
Requirements in the major is 37 credits
and you need 120 credits to graduate
that means the other ~40 credits comes from where? electives?...
thanks

If i am a transfer student coming in with 60 credits (i need to take an additional 60 credits at cornell to graduate)
the only classes of bio & society i need to take are the Requirements in the Major (37 credits).... (except for a few of them which i have completed already at my previous university)
(almost ALL of the Diistribution Requirements i have already completed at previous university)
that would mean i would need to take about 20 elective classes in addition to the ~37 credits in order to graduate....
correct?
or am i way off? lol

i think those will be pretty much electives...but I know in ILR you can only have a maximum of 40credits in an endowed college (hotel, a&s)...
