Curve for 800 Chemistry

How many question can I get wrong and still get an 800 for the Chemistry subject test?

Like in Math 2 you can get about 6/7 around and get an 800, how about for chemistry?

I think you can only miss a couple.

Only 5% student got 800 in Chem. I think it is usually -1 to be the cut off.

oh wow, so is the test really easy then?? In Math 2 they make it hard which is why they have such great curving. I’d assume they do less curving if it was easy

Let’s put it this way. Around 5% of student make 1 wrong answer or less in Chemistry subject test. Around 11% of students make 7 or less mistakes in math2. Easy or hard, it depends on the student.

I’m not sure what billcsho is talking about. The curve is certainly not -1 for an 800. Based on past threads (and the official subject tests book’s curve), -3 to -5 raw is generally an 800, depending on the specific test’s difficulty.

^^ Here is the curve for Chemistry subject test I based on:
[SparkNotes: SAT Chemistry: Scoring the SAT II Chemistry](<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides)
It varies from test to test and the real one may be more generous.
This table shows up to -3 for 800:

Uhh… on the test there’s 85 questions. On average its likt -4/-5 for an 800. -3 is a bit harsh…
